The Kestral runs on a pure copper motor quiet enough to leave on through the night, and its ABS blades reverse direction at the touch of the remote. Run it forward in summer to push cooled air down into the room, then reverse it in winter to pull warm air off the ceiling and circulate it back through the space. Used alongside an air conditioner, that convection effect cools a room faster and keeps running costs sensible.
Light comes from a high transmittance acrylic shade that spreads a flicker free glow across the ceiling, with an extra LED strip set into the side of the housing to widen the pool of illumination. Three step dimming shifts the tone from warm and relaxed to bright and neutral, so the same fixture reads soft above a bed and crisp above a desk or dining table. Seven finishes cover black, white, gray, green and wood grain.
